      The “2022 ICGG International Training on Geochemical Mapping Technologies” was successfully held online by UNESCO International Centre on Global-Scale Geochemical Mapping (ICGG) from Nov. 29th to Nov. 30th. It was the third online international training organized by ICGG since the outbreak of COVID-19. The training mainly served for developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. A total of 30 participants from 17 countries took part in the training.
      The training covered the fields of geochemical data processing and geochemical map compilation. The lecturers illustrated the functions and operations of the software Geochem Studio 4.0 and Geochem Master 1.0. The participants eagerly interacted and well communicated during the training. After the training, the videos of the courses were uploaded to the ICGG website for public study, many participants sent emails to ICGG to express their gratitude to the online training for its good quality and practical use. They believed it would greatly benefit the geochemical survey in their countries.
      ICGG has trained 886 participants from 52 countries in 6 continents since its establishment, which has served as a good platform for international communication and exchanges. The training has promoted the sharing of geochemical knowledge and technologies, played an important role in elevating the geochemical mapping capacity of developing countries, well served the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
